Gerry Matthews has specialized in the construction, sales, and leasing of industrial and commercial properties over the past 33 years.  Prior to opening his own firm, he had been associated with Connecticut Factors, Inc. of Waterbury, CT, where he was responsible for the management, construction and renovations of a multitude of office, industrial, and residential buildings throughout the region.  He successfully worked as a commercial real estate sales agent in the Greater Waterbury area responsible for leasing and selling several hundred commercial and industrial properties.  For seven years he served as Real Estate Commissioner for the State of Connecticut. And is the past Co chair of the Middlebury Economic Development Commission where he served for eight years.

The firm, Matthews Commercial Properties, has for the past 10 years ranked among Westchester/Southern Connecticut’s Top Brokerage Firms based on transaction volume. For seven consecutive years to date, Gerry Matthews has been recognized as a Westchester/Southern Connecticut Power Broker for leasing activity based on his overall leasing transaction volume.
