December, 2010 -Brian Godin has recently leased 2,300 square feet at 333 Kennedy Drive, Torrington, CT. Brian represented Dr. McHugh and Associates P.C., who have entered into a long term lease for Unit 5A. Dr. McHugh is planning to move his current office from 733 East Main Street into the new location in the Spring of 2011.

December, 2010 -Brian Godin recently completed a long term Lease for 2,500 SF at 461 Watertown Avenue, Waterbury, CT. The new Tenant, Izzy Car Care owned by Israel Aquino, will be opening in February 2011. Brian represented both parties in this transaction.

December, 2010 -Brian Godin has completed a long term lease for a 3,300 square foot office at 290 Highland Avenue, Cheshire, CT. The property was leased by Truscam Corporation who will use the new location for marketing, sales and light assembly of high end camera technology.

December, 2010 -Gerry Matthews is pleased to announce the sale of 66 Mattatuck Heights, Waterbury, CT to Carmino Maria Lucia LLC. The 26,301 SF building on 3.53 acres of land sold for $635,000. The new owners plan to occupy 16,000 SF of the building to operate their limousine company, Gate Limousine. The balance of the space has been leased back to the former owners, Temporale Climate Control.

December, 2010 -Ed Godin Jr., SIOR represented the Landlord in the leasing of 30 Fieldstone Court in Cheshire, CT. The modern 35,300 square foot warehouse facility was leased to United Technologies.

November, 2010 -Ed Godin Jr., SIOR and Brian Godin recently represented the Landlord and Tenant respectively in the leasing of a 10,000 square foot industrial building at 178 Commercial Street, Watertown. JD Fiberglass will be utilizing the facility for the production of a wide variety of fiberglass molded products.

November, 2010 -Gerry Matthews and Ed Godin Jr., SIOR completed the sale of 83 Prospect Street, Waterbury, CT. The 19,032 s/f freestanding building was purchased by Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc., a private non-profit organization whose roots reach back 31 years in Waterbury. The property sold for $1,600,000. Ed Godin represented the Seller, TC3, LLC and Gerry Matthews represented the Buyer, Waterbury Youth Service.

September, 2010 -Ed Godin Jr., SIOR and Gerry Matthews have represented the Landlord, Cornerstone Realty, in the leasing of 35,000 square feet of warehouse and office space at 105 Progress Lane in Waterbury, CT. The modern 200,000 square foot facility is located just off of Interstate 84 at Exit 25A. The new Tenant, Frito Lay, will be utilizing the facility for distribution.

Matthews Commercial continues to market the remaining 35,000 square feet of remaining warehouse or manufacturing space.

August, 2010 -Ed Godin Jr., SIOR represented the Buyer in the purchase of the 7,800 square foot industrial building at 141 Woodruff Street in Litchfield, CT. The 1.5 acre property is located in the town center off Route 202 and sold for $445,000. The Buyer, East Coast Sheet Metal, will be relocating their business from Thomaston and will utilize the facility for their operations. The Seller was 141 LLC of Litchfield.

August, 2010 - Brian Godin and Ed Godin completed the sale of 1486 Highland Avenue, #2, Cheshire, CT. Brian Godin represented the Buyer, Frank Kovacs, owner of Kovil Manugacturing LLC. They are moving into this new location from hamden to accommodate their continued growth. The Seller, Bruce McKinney, was represented by Ed Godin, SIOR. The property was a 4,733 square foot industrial condo and was purchased for $323,750.00.

August, 2010 -Brian Godin has represented both partaies in a long term lease of 1,500 square feet located at Steelbrook Plaza, 1630 Watertown Avenue, Waterbury, CT. The new Tenant, Voula Karolidas will be opening a new hair salon called "HairBangers Salon" in September, 2010.

July, 2010 - Gerry Matthews and Brian Godin have completed a lease for 8,200 square feet of retail space located at 520 Watertown Avenue, Waterbury, CT. The space was leased to Amazing Dance and Fitness LLC who plan to convert the former car dealership showroom to a fitness studio for ZUMBA instruction. Brian Godin represented Amazing Dance and Fitness LLC and Gerry Matthews represented the Landlord, Colcor, Inc.

July, 2010 - Gerry Matthews and Ed Godin have completed the lease of 50,000 S/F located at 199 Park Road Extension in Middlebury, CT. The space is located in the former Timex World Headquarters. The 285,000 S/F building is owned by the Midex Corp. of New York. To date over 90,000 S/F has been leased by Matthews Commercial Properties. The new tenant, Sunbeam Partners LLC, plan to renovate the space and convert it into smaller medical and professional office suites for release. Matthews Commercial will continue to represent the Landlord, Midex Corp. as well as Sunbeam Partners LLC in leasing the building.

July, 2010 - Gerry Matthews completed the sale of the 5 acre parcel located on Plank Road, Waterbury, CT. The 5 acre parcel was purchased by the Catholic Cemetery Association for $1,900,000. Gerry Matthews represented the Seller, Plank Road Plaza LLC.

June, 2010 -Brian Godin has recently completed a long term lease for property located at 451 Meriden Road, Waterbury, CT. The property consists of 2,500 square feet of retail space. The Tenant, Triple Threat Dance Company LLC will be moving to their new location and will open in July, 2010.

June, 2010 - Brian Godin represented both the Seller and Buyer in the sale of 135 East Main Street, Bristol, CT. The 5 bay car wash is located on busy Route 72. The car wash features 3 self serve and 2 automatic bays. The building and 0.96 acres of land sold for $430,000.00.

June, 2010 - Ed Godin Jr., SIOR recently brokered two leases totaling 14,000 square feet at Hurley Farm Industrial Park at 115 Hurley Road in Oxford, CT. The tenants are Taunton Packaging leasing 10,500 square feet and Calvary Brewing Company occupying 3,500 square feet. The landlord is The Hurley Group, a local investment group with holdings throughout the state.

June, 2010 - Gerry D. Matthews completed the sale of Spectrum Square located at 246 Wolcott Road, Wolcott, CT. The 17,684 square foot retail center is situated on 1.49 acres of land. Spectrum Square is fully leased with many long term tenants. The property was purchased for investment purposes by Mr. James Kwok for $1,250,000.00.
Gerry Matthews represented both the Seller, Mr. Al Podzunis and the Buyer, Mr. James Kwok in this transaction.

May, 2010 - Gerry D. Matthews, represented both parties in the leasing of 6,265 square feet on the third floor of the Moriarty Professional Building, located at 141 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT. The entire third floor was leased by Wellpath, Inc. for their Home-Based Services and Family Life Center. Wellpath is a regional provider that helps children, adolescent and families each year though an array of treatment and prevention programs.

March, 2010 - Gerry D. Matthews and Ed Godin Jr., SIOR, recently represented both parties in the sale of a 9.6 acre parcel of industrial zoned land at Alliance Circle in Beacon Falls, CT. The property is located in the Pines Bridge Industrial Park and sold for $550,000. The Buyer, H.I. Stone & Son, Inc., is based in Southbury and ultimately plans to develop the site. The seller was ANTAR, LLC of New York.

February, 2010 - Gerry D. Matthews, Principal of Matthews Commercial Properties, represented both parties in the sale of Lauro Crest Plaza, 741-757 Wolcott Street, Waterbury, CT. The 12,724 square foot, fully leased, retail center on 1.14 acres of land sold for $1,237,500. The Seller was Sunbeam Paratners, LLC and the Buyer was Chin Min Kwok of New Jersey.

January, 2010 - Brian Godin and Ed Godin Jr. SIOR represented both parties in the leasing of 8,146 square feet at the Crossroad West Office Building at 765 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, CT. The Tenant, Post University continues to grow and has expanded their telemarketing department into this new location.

January, 2010 - Gerry D. Matthews represented both parties in the sale of 63 Golden Street, Meriden, CT. The 14,668 square foot free-standing building and 1.17 acres of land sold for $607,500. The well maintained warehouse/ manufacturing building was purchased by Prokonian, Inc. from JaxJoe Co., LLC. Prokonian is a manufacturer of high quality electric fireplaces, mantels and electric convection heaters. The purchase is an expansion from their facility in Wolcott.
